A small story on page eight of this week’s Horse & Hound mentions a poll on the Guardian website which found that almost 79% of participants voted in favour of repeal of the Hunting Act.

It lays bare the hypocrisy of people who write, edit and read H&H. They will never, ever publish a poll conducted by Ipsos-MORI (one of the world’s leading pollsters) such as ours which shows support for the Hunting Act is increasing, but they’ll publish a poll from a website a link to which was posted on various hunting websites for people to hijack. It’s rather similar to the way in which they never publish stories about successful prosecutions of hunters – they only mention the cases where people are acquitted.

Of course, the bloodsports fanatics have an absolute aversion to the truth … because it’s usually so clearly against them.
