Listen to the hunters and their mouthpiece, the Countryside Alliance, talk about repeal and one thing they don’t talk about is hare coursing. That ‘sport’ involves setting two dogs against each other in pursuit of a hare. According to Ipsos-MORI polling for the League, 85% of the public want to Keep Cruelty History and ensure hare coursing remains illegal.

A repeal of the Hunting Act brings this back.

Hare coursing, which I have witnessed on hundreds of occasions, is absolutely disgusting. Don’t believe a word of what the Countryside Alliance or Sir Mark Prescott or Clarissa Dickson Wright say: believe me, it’s absolutely disgusting. If the Conservative and/or others try to repeal the Hunting Act, hare coursing will come back and we, as a so-called civilised society, will have to hang our heads in shame. Don’t let them take this absolutely disgusting backward step. Sign my NoToHareCoursing E-Petition at – http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/NoToHareCoursing/
