Image of the Day – 77

From our archive, a dead hound from the Barlow Foxhounds slung into the back of a hunt followers car. The way in which the corpse is covered suggests that not everyone wants to see a dead animal, but when that’s the hunt’s raison d’etre, that suggestion can’t be right.

What is this photo supposed to say, its a picture of a dead hound, no explaination as to how it died, it might have met with a tragic accident, it might be being taken back to the kennels after the vet put it down..There are many possible explainations for why its there. Did the photographer not ask.
How else would they transport the body except in the boot of a car??
Isnt covering the body the decent thing to do?
Just what is the implied message with this photo..
